VIDEO: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Family Discusses 'RISE'

We are excited to announce Disney’s RISE, which debuts exclusively on Disney+ on June 24th!

The upcoming film is based on the triumphant real-life story about the remarkable family that produced the first trio of brothers to become NBA champions in the league’s history—Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kostas Antetokounmpo.

“RISE” stars Dayo Okeniyi, Yetide Badaki, Manish Dayal, and Taylor Nichols, introducing Ral Agada and Uche Agada. The film was directed by Akin Omotoso (“Vaya”), written by Arash Amel (“A Private War”), and produced by Bernie Goldmann (“300”). Giannis Antetokounmpo and Douglas S. Jones served as the executive producers.

Members of the press had the opportunity to attend the RISE press conference which featured the entire Antetokounmpo family; Director, Akin Omotoso; Writer, Arash Amel; and stars of the film, Yetide Badaki (Veronika Antetokounmpo) , Dayo Okeniyi (Charles Antetokounmpo), Ral Agada (Thanasis Antetokounmpo), and Uche Agada (Giannis Antetokounmpo).
