JPMorgan Chase and Co have launched their Advancing Black Wealth Tour! The tour will span three cities and empower our communities with the tools and resources needed to promote financial health education, wealth-building seminars, and other vital financial insights to Black communities.

The three stops include Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Philadelphia, planned throughout 2022. Each visit will host prominent Black business leaders and entrepreneurs who will engage attendees through panel discussions and interactive workshops. Forums will include financial wellness, best steps to saving money, navigating the real estate market and homeownership, entrepreneurship, and

wealth generation.

The tour's first stop was sold out in Los Angeles at NeueHouse Hollywood on Saturday, May 14, 2022. THAheadline had the opportunity to cover the event from start to finish. The panel of speakers for the Los Angeles event included:

Ian Dunlap: master stock investor and founder of Red Panda.

Daymond John: founder and chief executive officer of FUBU, star of ABC's Shark Tank, and chief executive officer of the Shark Group.

Dr. Lynn Richardson: entertainment executive and celebrity financial expert.

MC Lyte: TV producer, DJ, and philanthropist.

Dom Kennedy: independent rapper, owner of OPM Record Label, "Be My Neighbor" brand ambassador.

As a crowd of people checked in and prepared for the start of an unforgettable learning experience, they were all welcomed with a spoken word of "Hey Black Child." The audience was then warmly welcomed by Raquel Oden, Head of JPMorgan Chase's Consumer Bank Network Expansion, and the visionary behind the tour, Justin Grant, Executive Director of Community Development for Advancing Black Pathways at JPMorgan Chase.

"We are not sitting back and admiring the problem. Instead, we will eat this whale, one bite at a time. This program is very prescriptive, and we have curated a series of paneled discussions with leaders from our communities who are succeeding in financial health and wealth creation, investing, and entrepreneurship," said Grant.

The first stop of the tour was immensely impactful for everyone involved. JPMorgan Chase's racial equity commitment to helping the Black community build wealth by making real connections and genuine support from their employers was the main driving force of making the event a success!

Master Investor Ian Dunlap said, "I wish I had something like this to go to when I was a kid. But, unfortunately, where I am from (Chicago), there weren't any tours like this for my community."
