THAheadline Highlights Chadwick Boseman, because he is the man! Boseman is no stranger when it comes to stepping into big-screen roles playing iconic African-American figures. He is most known for portraying baseball player Jackie Robinson in the film 42 (2013), James Brown in Get on Up (2014) and the Black Panther in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and the anticipated movie, Black Panther (2018).
This holiday season, fans of the actor Chadwick Boseman can catch him playing Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice, in the film Marshall, out digitally December 26th and on Blu-Ray and DVD January 9th.
In the film directed by Reginald Hudlin, young Thurgood Marshall handles one of the most prominent cases of his career while working as a lawyer for the NAACP. Marshall along with Sam Friedman (Josh Gad), a local Connecticut Jewish lawyer with no criminal law experience, team up to defend Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown), a black chauffeur accused of sexual assault and attempted murder by socialite Eleanor Strubing (Kate Hudson).
